BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School freshman boys soccer team downed rival Mt. Ararat, 3-1, on Friday.
Josh Musica scored on a penalty kick to give the Dragons an early lead.
Alejandro Atkins cemented the win with two goals late in the first half, with Haken Lentz and Everett Horch each picking up an assist.
Brunswick goaltender Jack McDarmaid (five saves) and Mt. Ararat keeper Elias Linkle made several saves each in the second half.
Mt. Ararat’s goal came from Marcus Steinman, with an assist going to Tyler York.
Brunswick defenders Ben Guindon, Josh Guptill, Chappy Hall, Ben Israel and Michael Kinee helped to preserve the win.
The Dragons host Freeport on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Shulman Field.
