WISCASSET — The Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that the next Business After Hours event is Thursday, Oct. 9.

Business After Hours events are a great opportunity to network with other business professionals and leaders in the Wiscasset area.

This upcoming BAH will be hosted by the Sheepscot Valley Conservation Association from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Sheepscot Valley Conservation Association welcomes you to come learn more about one of Maine’s oldest land trusts and the work they do caring for the Sheepscot River Valley.

The Oct. 9 event takes place at the association’s office in Sheepscot Village, located at 624 Sheepscot Road, Newcastle, across from the Harriet Bird Community Center and ball field. Door prizes will include a signed SVCA 45th anniversary print by artist Jon Luoma, a book on local trails, a book on Sheepscot Village history and SVCA hat. Locally grown and produced food and beverages will be served including cheeses and veggies, fresh fruit, cookies, apple cider, beer and wine.

The next BAH will be Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Eldercare Network of Lincoln County.
