Atlantic Federal Credit Union’s Topsham branch recently presented a donation of $625 to Tedford Housing, a Brunswick-based nonprofit that provides shelter, housing and services for homeless adults, children and families in need.
The donated funds were raised through the credit union’s Ending Hunger in Maine campaign.
Roger Sirois, Atlantic Federal Credit Union CEO/president, said, “Not only is Atlantic focused on helping our members do better and improve their financial quality of life, but we want to help our communities do better. Atlantic is proud to support the Tedford Housing initiatives to help those in need.”
“Tedford Housing relies on the support and partnership of the business community to find lasting solutions to the challenges of homelessness,” said Craig Phillips, Tedford Housing’s executive director. “We appreciate Atlantic Federal Credit Union’s generous donation.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
