TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat freshmen boys soccer team improved to 3-4-1 on Wednesday with their 2-1 come-from-behind win over the Hyde jayvee squad.
Nick Merrill scored the first Eagles goal on a free-kick to tie the game at one, while Cole Kelly buried one in the net off of a corner kick from Dalton Streeter. The Eagles finished with 10 shots in the contest, while goalkeeper Blair Kopp ended the day with four saves. The whole team was praised for its hard and physical play.
The Eagles host St. Dom’s on Saturday.
