BATH — Psssst… Rumor has is there is a Speakeasy in Bath! Sagadahoc Preservation Inc. will be holding a Speakeasy Party on Saturday, Nov. 8th from 7 to 10 p.m. The Hadacol Bouncers will be in the house and playing great tunes for everyone’s dancing pleasure.
Guests are encouraged to dress in the style of the Roaring ’20s. Adding to the evening’s fun will be a cash bar with signature cocktails, munchies and some surprises throughout the evening. Tickets are $20 and can be purchases at Now You’re Cooking, Ornament and Brick Store Antiques, all in downtown Bath, or by call the SPI office at 443-2174. Some tickets will also be available at the door.
As with speakeasies in the 1920s, the location is secret unless guests have a ticket and the secret password to enter. The location and password will be revealed on the SPI website www.sagadahocpreservation.org and the Friends of Sagadahoc Preservation Facebook page on Nov. 6th.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
