The Bath YMCA Gymnastics Team opened up their competition season Saturday with great results.

In Level 2, ages 5-8, Ava Wolverton earned first place on vault (9.2), beam (9.05), floor (8.65) and all-around with a 34.65. Teammate Macie Shears placed first on bars (8.5), second on beam (9.0), and 4th all-around with a 32.5. Susannah Williams and Makenzie Beal tied for fourth place on vault with an 8.45. Williams also placed second on floor (8.5) and fifth all-around (32.15). Beal earned fourth on beam (8.35) and eighth all-around (30.75).

Bath’s Hannah Baker placed first all-around in the 9-11 year old Level 2 division, with a 34.75. Baker placed first on bars (8.75) and second on vault (8.65) and beam (8.9). Michaela Anderson was second allaround (34.2) with a first place win on vault (8.7) and third on beam (8.75). Teammate Aurora Jamison earned fourth place on bars (8.1) and beam (8.5) and was fifth in the all-around with a 32.05.

In Level 3 competition, Carolyn Carter earned first on vault (9.2), third on floor (8.35) and placed third in the all-around with a 32.15. Sophie Wood (28.4), Emma Dobransky (28.3), and Molly Newall (26.45) placed fifth, sixth and seventh in the allaround, respectively. Wood placed fourth on bars (6.3) and was sixth on vault (8.4). With an 8.6, Dobransky earned fourth on vault, and was fourth on beam (7.4) and floor (7.6) as well. Newall was fifth on vault (8.5), bars (5.75) and floor (7.4).

In Level 4, ages 9-10, Elizabeth Bingham earned third place all-around, with a 33.65. Bingham was second on vault (8.2) and bars (8.8). Teammates Julianne Salko and Kallie Maney tied for third on bars with an 8.65. Salko was fourth on beam (8.6) and fourth in the allaround (32.25). Maney also tied for fifth on vault with teammate Alamea McCarthy with a 7.8, and was sixth allaround (31.25). McCarthy earned fourth place on bars (8.0) and placed seventh allaround (30.8). Grace Delano, who was fifth all-around (32.15), earned second on beam (8.7) and third on both vault (8.1) and floor (8.05).

Anna Yankee earned first place on bars in the 11-14 year old Level 4 competition with an 8.5. Yankee placed third on vault (7.5), beam (7.65), floor (7.5) and in the all-around (31.15).

Molly Klein was first allaround with a 31.6 in Level 6, while placing first on beam (9.0) and bars (7.2), as well as tying for third on floor with teammate Samantha Melquist (8.1). Rachel Poulton earned first on both vault (8.8) and floor (8.6), and was second all-around with a 31.35.

Audrey Crews was second on vault (8.1) and floor (8.5), and tied with Melquist for second place on beam (7.6). Crews placed third allaround with a 30.8. Samantha Melquist earned third on vault (7.6) and fourth allaround (29.55).

In the Excel Silver division, Rachel Ouellette placed first in the all-around with a 34.9. She was first on bars (9.15), beam (8.6) and floor (8.85). With a 33.5 all-around, Tori Hersey earned second in the all-around. Hersey was second on vault (8.6) and floor (8.1), and tied for second on beam with teammate Tatiana Scott (8.35). Jane Nordman was third allaround (33.35), and placed third on bars (8.85), beam (8.0) and floor (8.0).

Nordman tied for third place with Charlotte Carter and Jenny Bakewell on vault (8.5). A 9.1 on bars earned Bakewell second place, and with a 33.3 Bakewell earned fourth all-around. Tatiana Scott earned first place on vault with an 8.7, and was fifth all-around (32.75) . Charlotte Carter earned fourth on bars (8.6) and placed sixth in the allaround (31.95).

Gabriella Taylor earned first place all-around in Ecxel Gold competition (34.3), while finishing first on vault (8.8), bars (8.9) and beam (8.2), as well as coming out with a tie with teammate Carly Lister on floor (8.4). Hannah Goodman earned first on floor with a 9.05, and was second on bars (8.4). She was able to place second allaround with a 33.25. Atti Shepherd was third allaround (32.6), placing second on beam (8.0), and third on both bars (8.3) and floor (8.3). Carly Lister placed second on vault (8.4), and earned fourth on bars (7.4), beam (6.8) and in the all-around (31.3).

In Excel Platinum competition, Lilia Hayford earned first place in the all-around with a 35.25 and on bars (9.35), while finishing second on vault (9.2). Kayla Soucy earned first on both vault (9.3) and beam (8.75), and was second all-around (35.2). Havi Ellers earned second place on beam (8.55), third on vault (9.0) and was fourth all-around (33.55). Maya Kosak and Kimberly Brown tied for third place on floor (8.5). Kosak earned third on bars (8.35) and was fifth allaround (33.05), while Brown placed fifth on beam (8.0) and sixth on vault (8.6).

Ten gymnasts earned their place in the 9.0 Club, including Ava Wolverton, Macie Shiers, Carolyn Carter, Molly Klein, Hannah Goodman, Lilia Hayford, Kayla Soucy, Havi Ellers, Rachel Ouellette and Jenny Bakewell, as well as many gymnasts meeting the first of two regional qualifying scores.

The Bath YMCA Gymnastics team will host their next meet against Bangor on January 17th at 3:00 p.m.
