PRESQUE ISLE (AP) — Maine Labor Commissioner Jean Shorey Paquette is making her first public appearance since being sworn into office.
Paquette is speaking Thursday to the Northeast Society for Human Resource Management’s Conference in Presque Isle. About 50 businesses will be represented.
Paquette has previously worked with the group after spending 20 years in the human resources profession. The professional job finder also was founder of the Employment Times and several other publications.
She served as deputy commissioner from July 2011 until her confirmation.
