SOUTH PARIS — After taking a 17-8 score into halftime, the Morse High School jayvee girls basketball team saw its lead slowly disintegrate as the Erskine Academy Eagles chipped away, tying the game in the fourth quarter at 28 apiece, and holding the Shipbuilders to just one point in overtime to capture the 38-29 victory.

Marissa Parks, Sierra Wallace and Hope Faulkingham combined for 19 points for the Shipbuilders, while Erskine Academy’s Ally Bonsant and Sydney Cummings totaled 10 and eight points respectively.

Both teams combined for 64 fouls called in the contest with Morse going to the line 31 times, sinking 10 shots, while the Eagles were 14-for- 49.

The Shipbuilders fall to 5- 8 on the season and will host Belfast on Friday.
