BATH — Centre St. Arts Gallery, LLC, presents the first of many art workshops at its 11 Centre St. gallery and studio on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m.

Introduction to Watercolor for the Uninitiated is offered for 10 adult would-be watercolorists by Livy Glaubitz. The cost is $20 per 60- to 90- minute session. All materials are included.

This class is an introduction to the different types of materials including papers, brushes and paints. Students will have time to experiment with watercolors and brushes, receive a list of materials for a start in watercolors, and a list of sources.

Students may sign up for additional classes in techniques, color theory, composition, value study and other topics.

Reservations can be made with a deposit of $20, payable at the gallery.

The gallery will also offer live figure drawing sessions on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. A clothed model will be provided and a donation of $10 per person will cover expenses.

Short and long poses will be decided by the group. A limited number of chairs and stools are provided. Artists should bring all other materials, and easels if needed.

Artists may sign up for additional sessions and reservations can be made with payment of the $10 fee, payable at the gallery.
