BATH — The board of directors of The Plant Memorial Home recently announced that Kristi Hyde of Harpswell will be joining the staff to assume the role of executive director and director of Nursing.
Hyde has a long career in the direct oversight of nursing practice, ensuring quality patient care in well-known health institutions. Most recently, she was a nurse manager for New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland, and previously she was nurse case manager at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
In addition to her nursing and nurse management experience, Hyde has built and maintained effective strategic relationships with various agencies, as well as public and private organizations, and has excelled as an administrator, trainer and technical adviser to staff and management in the medical treatment facility setting.
Hyde holds a bachelor of science, nursing degree from St. Joseph’s College in Standish, a diploma from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Portland, and is a lieutenant colonel, U.S. Army Reserve, retired.
