Educators and families from around the state will meet Monday, Jan. 28, in the Hall of Flags at the State House for a forum organized by backers of public charter schools in Maine.
Two public charter schools opened in October 2012: Maine Academy of Natural Sciences in Fairfield and Cornville Regional Charter School.
The Baxter Academy for Technology and Science will open in September in Portland, and two other proposals are being considered, including one in Harpswell.
