BATH — Bath Housing Development Corp. recently announced that Jeffry Knuckles and Sally Hennessey are new members of its board of directors, according to a news release.

Hennessey, a native of West Bath, had a 15-year career with the March of Dimes, most recently as the regional director of Program Services. For the past several years, she has worked on issues of hunger and homelessness through the Neighborhood United Church of Christ. Hennessey organized the Good Samaritan Ministry in 2005; it continues as a key lay-led ministry to neighbors in need.

Knuckles retired in 2013 as a U.S. litigation contractor and trial lawyer. He has lectured in law and taught business and commercial law, including a nonprofit law course at the University of Maine Law School. He was a member of the federal trial bar and a member of the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. He has represented several hundred community associations. He lives in Phippsburg with his wife, Barbara.

Bath Housing recently released the Bath Area Housing Assessment, which indicates the existing housing stock in the greater Bath region is not well suited to the changing demographics of this area. The Bath Housing Development Corp. board is launching a strategic planning process in order to identify key priorities and a path forward to address the needs that have been identified.
