
She was born in Bath on July 9, 1931, the daughter of Horace & Beryl (Reid) Murray.
She attended The Old Mitchell School in Bath & Eriskine Academy in China, Maine.
Mrs. Brown worked for many years at Congress Sportswear and LL Beans, retiring in 1996. She was a very talented seamstress and made many of her own dresses and clothing.
She was a member of the Bath Area Senior Citizens and a life-long member of Corliss Street Baptist Church in Bath.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen Glidden of Bath and Dale Brown and his wife Floriana of San Diego, California, a sister, Barbara
Alkazin and a brother,
Sandy Murray both of
Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Horace Murray Jr. of Gardiner and Gordon Murray of Brunswick and her beloved grandson, Stephen R. Goodyear of Phoenix, Arizona.
A funeral service will be at 11 AM on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath. Condolences may be made online at www.Daiglefuneralhome.com.
