GORHAM — Senior captains Peter Gilman, Logan Russell of Bath and sophomore Michael Arangio each earned Pilgrim Wrestling League All-Star honors.
Arangio was named to the Pilgrim League Honorable Mention All-Star team, while Gilman and Russell each earned First Team honors for the Huskies.
A 2012 Pilgrim Wrestling League Honorable Mention All-Star, Russell ended his Huskies’ career in strong fashion, earning first team honors as a senior.
Wrestling at 157-pounds, Russell posted a record of 24-8 to lead the Huskies in total wins and points (100). Russell also led the Huskies in wins by fall with 14 and is among the national leaders for his pin total.
In his first season with the Huskies, Arangio posted a strong 18- 5 overall record while wrestling at 125-pounds. And Gilman, a two-year captain, is a repeat Pilgrim League First Team All-Star selection, earning the honor as a junior.
Southern Maine finished its season at the 2013 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship this past weekend. The Huskies were 13-7 in dual meets.
