BATH — Christmas trees decorated by 22 area businesses and nonprofits will be on view for Bath Area Family YMCA’s 18th annual Festival of Trees at Winter Street Center, 880 Washington St., on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The theme of this year’s event is “A Black & White Christmas.” This event includes a silent auction of gift baskets donated by Byrnes’ Irish Pub, Henry & Marty Restaurant, Springer’s Jewelers, Life is Good, House of Logan, Betsy’s Salon and Spa and many others.

Several decorated trees will be auctioned. These include trees decorated by Dot’s Ice Cream, Bridgham & Cook British Goods and other businesses.

Tots & Trees will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Little kids can decorate a cookie and enjoy other seasonal refreshments. Mrs. Claus will visit and read some Christmas stories. Santa will stop by.

Later that day, all ages are welcome from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Donations at each of these events will be appreciated.

On Wednesday, the Holiday Gala will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sparkling cider, champagne and hors d’oerves will be served. The Oratorio Chorale will perform. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Springer’s Jewelers, Now You’re Cooking and the YMCA.
