WISCASSET — Margaret Colby, 90, of Willow Lane died Monday, December 3, 2012, at her residence.

She was born in Staten Island, New York on August 27, 1922, a daughter of George E. II and Clara M. (Randolph) Weatherbee.

She attended New York schools and moved to Wiscasset as a young child. She attended Wiscasset schools and on August 27, 1940 she married Perley R. Colby. She was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at local nursing homes and at Miles Memorial Hospital. She also did private care at various homes.

She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Wiscasset.

She was predeceased by her husband, Perley R. Colby on August 10, 1975, one daughter, Patricia Ann Amirault and one brother, George E. Weatherbee III.

She is survived by one son, Carroll R. Colby and his wife Judith of Wiscasset, two daughters, Elaine Moore and her husband Harry of Wiscasset and Linda Delano and her husband Ted of Wiscasset, one sister, Lillian Pereira of Cambridge, MA, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, four great step grandchildren and five great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8PM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday at the Bible Baptist Church in Wiscasset. Burial will follow at Old Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Fellowship Hall.
