BRUNSWICK — Local celebrations of World T’ai Chi and Qigong Day are scheduled for 10 a.m., April 27 at Bowdoin College.
The theme of this year’s gathering is “One World, One Breath,” according to organizer
Ken Ryan. Globally, events began in 1999 but have been celebrated in Brunswick since 2003, he added.
The gathering will be held on the Walker Art Museum Quad, although in case of inclement weather, it will be moved indoorsto the Morrell Gymnasium.
Nearly 100 people gathered for the event in 2012, according to spokeswoman Donna Marshall. Contact Ryan at maineqi@gmail.com for more information, or browse www.worldtaichiday.org or mainetaichi.com.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
