AUGUSTA — Ronni Pelletier tallied three goals as the Mt. Ararat High School girls lacrosse team remained unbeaten with a 13-6 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory over Cony on Thursday.
The Eagles are 4-0 and visit North Yarmouth Academy Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. Cony fell to 0-2.
Lauren Williams and Alison Nolan picked up two goals in the win, while Katie Labbay, Erin Tome, Emily Welch, Rebecca Schuman, Isa Blessington and Shannon Harty picked up a goal apiece.
Cony received three goals from Becca Coniff, and one each from Erin Alexander, Annie Brannigan and Tynisha Francis.
In goal, Mt. Ararat’s Eleanor Skinner had nine saves, while Rams netminder Abby Hopkins turned aside seven shots.
The Shipbuilders more than doubled their season total for goals in a KVAC Class B win over Lincoln Academy at Newcastle.
Leading 9-6 at the half, the Shipbuilders exploded out of the gate in the second half for the first seven goals for a 16-6 lead.
Sophie Sreden led all scorers with seven goals in the win, while Paige Daigle had three goals and Madison Olsen two.
Morse is 2-1 and visits Brunswick on Monday at 6 p.m.
The Dragons gave the Eagles a run for their money during Thursday’s KVAC matchup on the turf at Thomas College. The loss drops the Dragons to 2-3 on the season, but head coach Alex Sullivan had nothing but good things to say.
Angelica Boyle continued her success with three more goals and an assist. Anna McMillan also tallied up a hat trick, while Rebecca Bailey notched two goals and an assist.
EmmaLeigh Aschbrenner turned away seven shots. Brunswick travels to South Portland tonight at 5:30 p.m.
Boys lacrosse
Kyle Woodruff dumped in four goals as Brunswick cruised to a 19-2 KVAC win over Cony at Brunswick.
TJ Sullivan chipped in three goals for the 5-0 Dragons, while Ian Schlosser added two goals and two helpers.
Brunswick visits Yarmouth on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Eagles scored six goals in both the first and second quarters en route to a KVAC win at Topsham.
Mt. Ararat improved to 2-4 and visits Westbrook today at 4 p.m. The Vikings fell to 0-6.
Jason Magno scored a gamehigh four goals, while Kyle Lussier had a monster game with three goals and four assists. Ben Bishop, Kellen Radulski, Elliot Pressman, Mike Tran, Orion Sargent, Andrew Waltz, Sawyer Watson, Connor Brown and Mark Abreu also figured into the scoring for the Eagles.
Mt. Ararat goaltenders Charlie Gill and Leon Perrault combined on 13 saves.
