Amtrak said service on the Downeaster line between Brunswick and Boston will be limited beginning Friday.
On Friday evening, the 7 p.m. departure from Brunswick — Train 688 — is cancelled, due to construction on the railroad. Train 689 — the 11:20 p.m. return train from Boston, which ends in Portland — also is cancelled.
On Saturday and Sunday, “the Downeaster will run according to a limited schedule due to the Shawsheen River Bridge Construction project in Andover, Mass.” according to information on the Amtrak website.
