BRUNSWICK — No one was seriously injured Thursday in a head-on collision on Pleasant Street that snarled traffic for about an hour.
The crash was reported at 4:12 p.m. near the Shell gas station on Pleasant Street.
Officer Patrick Mahar said Richard Labbe, 61, of Durham, driving a red 2006 Ford pickup truck, was turning left into the entrance of the Shell gas station and collided head-on with a black 2005 GMC pickup truck driven east on Pleasant Street in the right lane by Kevin Hunt, 40, of Harpswell.
Airbags in both trucks deployed. Labbe sustained a minor abrasion to his right knee and was taken to Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick for assessment, Mahar said. Hunt was not injured. No charges were filed.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
