FREEPORT — More than 1,000 volunteers from local companies, schools and nonprofit organizations will spend today working on community improvement projects today.
Locally, volunteers in Freeport are asked to rake and mulch garden beds at Casco Bay YMCA, 14 Old South Freeport Road. To help, email ktucker@ymcaofsouthernmaine.org
At Wolfe’s Neck Farm, 184 Burnett Road, up to 35 volunteers will conduct landscaping, trail maintenance, campground repair and preparation, picnic table building. To help, call Myra DiLeo at 865- 4469.
