BRUNSWICK

No one was hurt but traffic was clogged after a car hit a commercial box truck Thursday on Pleasant Street.

Officer Patrick Mahar said an inbound Maine Oxy truck driven by Guy Lemieux, 56, of Turner, was changing lanes at 7:50 a.m. near Old Portland Road when it was struck by a 2012 Volkswagen.

Mahar said the driver of the car, Hannah Costa, 21, of Auburn was distracted by the radio and was unable to avoid colliding with the back of the 2004 Peterbilt box truck.

The truck was functional after the crash but the car sustained extensive front-end damage and was hauled away.

No charges were issued.
