BRUNSWICK — Volunteer advocates are needed immediately to staff a 24-hour crisis and support line at Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine, or SASSMM.

Advocates receive an hourly stipend for being on call and carrying a pager. The hourly stipend amount increases during a support line call, or calls that require hospital or police accompaniment.

Experience in a social services field is desirable, and the job requires reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Extensive training will be provided but the time is unpaid.

To learn more or to schedule a pre-training screening interview, please call 725-2181, 594-8580 or 338-4622, or e-mail clientservices@sassmm.org.
