ROCKPORT — M. Michelle Hood, president and chief executive officer of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems in Brewer, was recently installed as chair of the Maine Hospital Association board of directors at the association’s summer forum at the Samoset Resort.
Hood, who joined EMHS in 2006, succeeds the outgoing chair Arthur Blank, president and CEO of Mount Desert Island Hospital.
Rebecca Ryder, president and CEO of Franklin Memorial Hospital, now becomes chair-elect; James Donovan, president and CEO of Lincoln County Healthcare, becomes treasurer; and Chuck Hays, CEO of Maine- General Medical Center, becomes the board secretary.
Joining the board are Edward Hannon, CEO, Mayo Regional Hospital; Douglas Jones, CEO, Down East Community Hospital; Richard Petersen, CEO, Maine Medical Center; Mary Prybylo, CEO, St. Joseph Hospital; Peter Sirois, CEO, Northern Maine Medical Center; and Lois Skillings, CEO, Mid Coast Hospital.
Christina Maguire-Harding, vice president of finance at Mount Desert Island Hospital, will become chair of the Health Care Finance Council. Dan Coffey, CEO at Acadia Hospital, will chair the Mental Health Council.
