BANGOR — Kyle Secone threw a two-hitter, striking out five as the Mt. Ararat High School jayvee baseball team rolled to a 13-2 victory over Bangor recently.
JD Dionne singled and tripled, Holden Brennan and James Singleton each singled and doubled, while Trey Booty and Trevor Brown both doubled. Cody Holman and Connor Smith had a pair of singles. Secone added a bases-loaded triple in the win.
The Eagles suffered their first loss, a 6-4 defeat against Oxford Hills on Saturday.
Brennan singled three times and Dionne singled twice in the loss. Secone, Brown, Cal Davies, RJ Minor and Mason Brigham all contributed with a single each.
Booty and Holman combined to allow four hits, while striking out three for the Eagles (4-1).
