Austin Damon was solid on the mound, and Mt. Ararat unloaded for 12 hits en route to a 12-0 high school baseball Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Medomak Valley in five innings.

Damon struck out seven and permitted just one hit in earning the win as the Eagles improved to 2-2 and hosts Bangor in a makeup game today at 4:15 p.m.

Cam Grant launched a home run for Mt. Ararat, while Kyle Brennan picked up three hits and scored four runs. Austin Damon chipped in a pair of hits and scored twice, while Nick Merrill added three hits and two runs.

Jonathan Allard had the lone hit for the Panthers.

BRUNSWICK 5

CAMDEN HILLS 1

The Dragons earned their second straight KVAC win to improve to 2-3.

Noah Goddard led the way on the mound for Brunswick, going the distance and allowing just two hits with six strikeouts and one walk.

“Noah was dominant on the mound. It was truly an outstanding effort. He stepped up big and was in control of all of his pitches,” Brunswick coach Craig Rogers said.

The Dragons led 1-0 after two. A four-run third inning made for a 5-0 contest, with Cam Daly delivering a key two-run single. Daly and Cam Dunton each had two hits in the win.

Nate Johnson had both hits for the Windjammers with a single and a double.

Brunswick visits Oxford Hills today at 4:30 p.m.

OCEANSIDE 2

MORSE 1

The visiting Mariners rallied for a KVAC win over Morse at Bath.

Jackson Walker went the distance for the 1-3 Shipbuilders, striking out eight and walking two.

Austin Magliozzi (1-for-3) drove in the lone Morse run, while Tyreik Foster reached all three times he came to the plate (two walks, hit by pitch) and stole a base.

Titus Kaewthong and Michael Norton were each 2- for-3 for Oceanside.

The Shipbuilders host Medomak Valley today at 4 p.m.

LISBON 14

MTN. VALLEY 7

At Rumford, the Greyhounds used a seven-run third inning to take control en route to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Falcons.

Lucas Francis went six innings on the mound in the Lisbon (2-0) win, allowing four earned runs on eight hits, four walks and two hit batters. Francis struck out four. Nick Austin finished, going an inning with one strikeout and one walk.

Tied 2-2 in the third, Lisbon claimed a 9-2 lead, then added four runs in the fourth to extend out to a 13-6 advantage.

DJ Douglas had three hits, scored two runs and drove in three for the ’Hounds, with Noah Austin and Francis added one hit each.

Cody Hemningway picked up a pair of doubles for Mountain Valley (3-1).

Lisbon hosts Dirigo today at 4 p.m.

Boys lacrosse

BRUNSWICK — Aiden Glover scored seven goals and picked up two assists to power Brunswick to a 16-7 bounce-back win over Lewiston on Monday.

The 3-1 Dragons, coming off an overtime loss to South Portland on Saturday, scored six goals in the third quarter to take control.

Nate Girardin chipped in two goals, while Nolan Lyne, Andrew Eno and Jack McDiarmid added a goal and an assist each.

Gunner Wade, Jayden Wilson and Garrett Poussard led Lewiston (2-2) with two goals and an assist apiece.

Connor Pendergast stopped 14 shots in the Brunswick cage, while Hunter Steele had nine saves for the Blue Devils.

Girls lacrosse

WATERVILLE — Ally Turner had nine goals to power Messalonskee to a 23- 14 victory over Morse at Thomas College.

The Eagles (2-1) led 11-7 at the half, but the Shipbuilders (2-2) made a run, closing to 14-13 in the second half. But, Messalonskee pulled away in the final 11 minutes.

Lauren Pickett and Kaitlyn Smith each scored six goals in the win, while Katie Seekins and Abigayle Barney had one tally each.

Emily Martin picked up six goals and an assist to power Morse, which hosts Edward Little on May 9 at 5 p.m. Mae Winglass added four goals and helper, while Maddie McDonough chipped in two goals. Emma Warner (one goal, one assist) and Emily Belanger (one goal) also found their way onto the scoresheet.

Sadie Crosby had three saves for Messalonskee, while Morse netminder Abby Sreden turned away 15 shots.

OXFORD HILLS 11

MT. ARARAT 1

Oxford Hills jumped out to a 6-0 lead and cruised to the victory over Mt. Ararat in a KVAC clash in Topsham.

Julie Colby netted four goals to pace the Vikings (2- 1) while Caroline Burns added a pair in the victory.

Shannon Harty scored the lone goal for the Eagles (0-4) off a pass in transition from Jess Cloutier. Casi Perow made 12 saves in net for the visitors. Tiana James made two saves for Oxford Hills.

Mt. Ararat travels to South Portland on Saturday to take on the Red Riots at 5 p.m.

Softball

WALDOBORO — Hollie Kunesh doubled twice and launched a home run as Medomak Valley downed Mt. Ararat, 6-2, in KVAC action.

The Panthers (3-1) scored single runs in the first and fifth innings, and added two-run frames in the third and fourth to take control.

Addie Jameson had two hits, including a triple, and earned the mound win with 10 strikeouts and two walks. She permitted just three hits.

Belle Benner, Zoe Stilphen and Shelby Moore each doubled for Mt. Ararat (0-3), which scored its two runs in the seventh inning.

Camille Rowe and Morgan Johnson combined on the mound for the Eagles on four strikeouts, one walk and 10 hits.

Mt. Ararat hosts Bangor today at 4:15 p.m.

Olivia Durfee drove in three runs on two hits and scored three times as the Warriors (2-2) defeated Freeport (0-3) at Wells.

Karissa Kenyon pitched a two-hitter for Wells, striking out eight.

Freeport is slated to visit Greely on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

MTN. VALLEY 0

The visiting Greyhounds scored early and often en route to an MVC win at Rumford over the winless Falcons (0-4).

Lisbon (2-0), slated to host Dirigo today at 4 p.m., was led by Giana Russo, who had four hits and seven RBIs. Mallory Fairbanks chipped in three runs on three hits, while Abby Miner pounded out two hits and drove in a pair, along with tossing a two-hit shutout.

Saydie Garbarini went the distance for Mountain Valley.
