BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School fall sports season is fast approaching, and Dragons co- curricular director Jeff Ramich has released fall practice information, which begins on Aug. 17.

Cheerleaders will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria, while the cross country squad practices the first two weeks beginning at 8 a. m. from the amphitheater.

Field hockey meets in the weight room at Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7 a.m., hits the field each day from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and again from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Golfers have a mandatory meeting at Brunswick Golf Club on Aug. 18 at 4 p.m.

Boys and girls soccer has a busy slate. Beginning Aug. 17, the boys soccer team converges on Crimmins Field from 8-10 a.m., and again from 4- 6 p. m., while the girls practice on Gardner Field each day from 4-7 p.m.

Lastly, the football team begins preparations for the season on Aug. 17 as well. Upperclassmen linemen meet from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., while skill positions are on the field from 9-11 a. m. Everyone practices from 5 p. m. to 7: 30 p. m. Freshmen meet from 3- 5 p. m. From August 24- 27, the team practices from 8- 10 a.m., and again from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The athletic packet can be found on the high school website, www.brunswick. k12.me.us/bhs. Packets must be turned in prior to or on the day of the first practice. No one will be allowed to participate without a fully filled out athletic packet and proof of insurance and a physical.
