BRUNSWICK
The Brunswick Landing Venture Condominiums proposal will be before the Planning Board Tuesday, seeking final approval for their plan to develop 40 new condos in a residential growth zone.
The board approved initial plans for the development on April 24.
According to Planning Department documents, the proposed development includes new driveway entrances, parking, landscaping, utility connections and parking areas for 12 new condominium buildings. Three buildings would be located on Anchor Drive, two on Independence Drive and seven would be located on Intrepid Street.
The application states that the project area was developed prior to 1970 as family housing for U.S. Navy personnel stationed at the former naval air station. Some of the aging housing was demolished in 2003 and the current housing — Mariner Landing and Woodland Village — was constructed between 2002 and 2004.
The proposed construction of 40 new units in 12 buildings includes a combination of duplex, triplex and quadplex buildings. The new housing will have two-car garages and driveways.
The Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. at the town hall, located at 85 Union St.
