PORTLAND – Police said they arrested a man early this morning after he broke into a house while intoxicated and sacked out on the couch.

Cody Bennett, 23, was arrested about 7:30 a.m. after he ran from the house on Codman Street when the owners woke up and found him on the couch, police said.

According to police, Bennett forced open a door sometime overnight. He was charged with criminal mischief for the damage to the door and criminal trespass, police said.
