LEWISTON — Police in Lewiston say two men have died after stabbing each other.

WCSH-TV reports police received multiple 911 calls at 1:39 a.m. today. When they arrived, they found one man lying in the street and the other inside an apartment.

The names of the victims are being withheld pending next-of-kin notification. Officials said one man was in his mid-20s and the other was in his early 30s.

Autopsies for the two men are scheduled for Tuesday in Augusta at the State Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.
