WATERVILLE — Patricia John of Waterville passed away on Friday morning, Sept. 18, 2015, at Mt. St. Joseph Nursing Home, after a brief illness. She was 81. The daughter of the late Henry Marsh and Majorie (Yetton) Marsh, she was born, raised and educated in Waltham, Mass.
Patricia devoted her life to helping others with a long career as a nurse working many years at AMHI. She received the Life Time Achievement Award from Gov. Paul LePage in a State House ceremony on April 15, 2012.
She enjoyed puzzles, running bingo games and being an extra pair of hands tending to other residents at the nursing home.
Patricia is survived by two sons, Richard D. Purinton Jr. and his wife Kathryn of St. George, Randy Purinton and his wife Carol of Topsham, and a daughter, Rhonda Andreski of Warren, Mich.; a brother, Donald Marsh and his wife Linda of Connecticut; five grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Judith Grigorakos, who passed away in 2008.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Sept. 26, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 112 Silver St., Waterville.
Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the local Red Cross chapter.
