TURNER — In a back-andforth Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference boys high school soccer game, Garrett Robson scored with 32 minutes remaining in regulation to lift Morse to a 5-4 victory over Leavitt on Thursday.

Alec Beveridge and Jacob Freeman each picked up a goal for the 1-5-1 Shipbuilders, who host Camden Hills on Saturday at 10 a.m. The other two goals were own goals.

Anthony Tedesco led the Hornets (1-6-1) with a pair of goals, while Tyler Roux and Evan Clark chipped in a goal each.

In goal, Myles Day turned aside 13 shots in the win, while Leavitt’s Curtis Jordan and Lucas Perry combined on nine saves.

Parker Hachey and SJ Park scored one goal apiece as the host Saints (7-0) downed visiting Wiscasset (3-3-1) in a Mountain Valley Conference tilt in Auburn on Thursday.

Ben Sawyer had five saves for St. Dom’s, while Wiscasset netminder Dylan McMahon got in front of 10 Saints shots.

The Wolverines return to action Saturday night (7 p.m.) at home against Winthrop.

Playing on the McMann Field Turf, the host Shipbuilders and Medomak Valley battled to a KVAC Class B tie on Tuesday.

Robson scored for Morse (0-5- 1) in the first half, and Ethan Swan tallied for Medomak in the second period.

The visiting Panthers (1-4-2) led in shots 14-10 and in corner kicks, 5-4.

Day had 10 saves for Morse, while Noah Beck had six stops for the Panthers.

In non-conference action on Tuesday, host Richmond dipped to 4-2 and is scheduled to visit Traip Academy next Tuesday.

“We had approached this game with a defensive mind set, but we are still pretty young in the back, and this was the first game since the summer that we had played a four-back system,” said Richmond coach Joe Scribellito.

“Our kids did very well initially, but we were a bit disorganized and NYA, a team averaging five goals a game, exploited every opening we gave them.”

In the first half Dustin Sullivan stopped six of nine shots, but a penalty kick with nine minutes remaining in the first half put NYA up 3-0.

DJ Nicholas earned his 50th career goal, and Mitch Rand and Jeremy Thelvin each scored.

“The second half play was much more fluid. We were able to move the ball a bit more effectively and shots began to equalize though NYA still managed to edge us, 10-9,” said Scribellito.

Nicholas finished the hat trick in the second half with two more goals.

In the second period, Marcus Blake stopped eight of 10 shots for Richmond and NYA’s (6-0) Austin Kidder stopped all 10 shots he faced.

“We played a very talented NYA team, and win or lose its matches against the best that helps make you the best,” added Scribellito. “Our young kids, Brendon Emmons, Brady Johnson, Cody Tribbett, Tyler Soucy, Curtis Anderson, Mikey Stewart and Bailey Johansen, were tested and showed a great deal of improvement in the second half. We’ll continue to learn and improve this season and use lessons like the one last night to help us prepare for a push into the playoffs.”

In MVC play on Wednesday, Kasey Cromwell scored three goals as the visiting Wolverines improved to 4-2-1 and are scheduled to host Boothbay on Saturday (5 p.m.).

Wiscasset led 3-0 at the half as Shania Marr scored at 10:37, Cromwell got her first with 9:17 left and Sarah Hanley added a third goal with five minutes remaining.

With 2:17 gone in the second half, Cromwell converted a penalty kick.

Cromwell got her hat trick with 34:20 remaining, Miranda McIntire made it 6-0 seven minutes later and Brooke Carleton- Wagstaff scored with 12:30 left.

Winthrop got on the board with 5:50 remaining on a Shie Smith goal.

Wiscasset outshot the Ramblers 51-3, with Gabby Chapman, Bri Goud, Maeve Carlson and Rachel Berry playing strong all-around games.
