POWNAL — Fuego Diablo welcomes you to its September open mic music night on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 52 Loring Lane, 5 to 9 p.m.
Singers, musicians, storytellers and poets are invited to take the stage at this allages evening of food and fun.
Entertainment begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. and continues until the musicians run out of songs. The event is free.
T-shirts, garden produce and hot sauce from Fuego Diablo will be on sale to raise money for the furnace fund.
Past entertainers have included local blues band Slygo Road; blues harmonica player Thom Hanes from Poke Chop and the Other White Meats; Irish fiddler and thespian Janet Lynch; storyteller Lynne Cullen and delta blues guitarist David Hartley.
Host Jamie Pearson will start the evening off with a set of electro-techno as heard on WMPG radio in July.
Seating is limited. This is primarily an acoustic event. Please bring your own sound equipment if you need to plug in.
