Technically based on the Ford Fusion platform, the all-new MKZ bears no resemblance to the parent Fusion, what with its typically Lincoln-esque front end and swooping roof that can open almost completely. The Lincoln MKZ buyer can choose between a powerful turbocharged four-cylinder in-line engine; a strong V-6; or a technically advanced hybrid system that includes a four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor. Where the latter is linked to a CVT transmission, the other engines rely upon the more traditional six-speed automatic gearbox with front- or allwheel drive. This really seems like a recipe for success for Lincoln!
