BRUNSWICK — Maine Pines Racquet & Fitness, located on Harpswell Road in Brunswick, is launching a new comprehensive wellness program called the “90- Day Commit to get Fit.”

The program is designed to provide an education to help people lead healthier lives. It begins with a wellness assessment that includes clinical lab work and fitness measures, health measures, family history and nutrition measures. The assessment is reviewed by a wellness coach and together goals are set for the program.

Class size is 10 to 20 participants who meet once a week for 13 weeks for a twohour session. The first hour is classroom time where you learn about nutrition, fitness, stress management, how to buy and eat foods, and how to make changes that last the rest of your life. The second hour is a group fitness activity which includes body weight exercises, cardio exercises, strength exercises, yoga, Pilates, and spinning.

At the end of the 13 weeks, participants will once again take the wellness assessment to see the results of their work.

Maine Pines will launch a pilot program in November and is offering a 60 percent discount on the program for interested participants. Slots are limited, so contact the Maine Pines Wellness Team at 729-8433.
