Nicholas E. Orr Sr., 77, life time resident of Bath, succumbed to cancer on Sept. 2, 2018. Nick was surrounded by immediate family and committed Hospice staff.
Nick is survived by wife Dawn Irene, Nicholas Jr., daughter-in-law, Robyn and grandsons Sebastian and Cole Orr. Nick will be missed by his sister Jean and niece and nephew, Andrea Guitard and Stephen Bragg. Nick is predeceased by youngest son Michael Orr.
Nick entered the USAF in 1959 and honorably served 5 years then entered the Maine National Guard until retiring after 30 years as a Chief Warrant Officer IV.
Nick enjoyed boating, military history, European culture, jogging and reading. He particularly loved his grandkids and devoted a lot of time to both of them.
Nick’s ashes will be committed on Sept. 22, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath, Maine. A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. at Kennebec Tavern located on the banks of the Kennebec River in Bath, Maine.
