BRISTOL, CT — The Biddeford 11-12 year old All-Stars stayed alive in the Eastern Regional Softball Championships with a 7-1 win over Massachusetts on Monday.
Biddeford, which won the state title earlier this month, scored five runs in the second inning to take control of the game.
The local All-Stars used two errors and a two-run double from Chantelle Bouchard to put those five runs on the board.
Biddeford would add two more runs on sacrifice bunts from Laura Perreault and Kadynne Smith. Kerri Scott and Anna Lavigne would scored on those plays.
Charlotte Donovan was once again brilliant in the circle as she struck out 11 batters and allowed no earned runs on four hits and one walk.
The Maine champs will play either New York or New Jersey today as they look to continue their regional run.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
