Volunteers are the backbone of any nonprofit organization. They save the organization not just money but time as well – time to get many important things done that might not have otherwise been possible.

ACAR has various volunteer opportunities. Volunteering is great for the heart and soul – volunteers make wonderful new friends but also help those less fortunate.

Those who would like to donate some time at the adoption center working with cats should contact Marilyn at 490- 2855.

The thrift store is also looking for a few good volunteers that may love animals but are not able to work directly with them. Those who would like to work a couple of hours or more at the thrift store should contact Debby at 676-9330 for additional information.

In addition to volunteers, cat food is needed. ACAR is spending a fortune on canned cat/kitten food, dry kitten/cat food and litter just to meet its day-to-day basic needs. Food donations may be dropped off at Another Chance Thrift Shop on 37 Market St., North Berwick, or call 676-5599 for pickup.
