KENNEBUNK — Sit & Knit, a free knitting series for youth in grades 4-8, will be held at Kennebunk Free Library. True beginners and those with some experience are also welcome.

Over the course of six weeks, students will learn the basics of knitting, how to knit on four needles, and how to make a hat. All materials will be provided. The six-week series will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursdays Sept. 29 through Nov. 3. Space is very limited, so registration should be completed by Sept. 22, to ensure enough supplies can be ordered.

Sit & Knit is free and wheelchair accessible. Kennebunk Free Library is located at 112 Main St. For more information or to pre-register, call 985-2173, ext. 5 or visit the website KennebunkLibrary.org.
