SANFORD — The Sanford Springvale Historical Museum, 505 Main St., will present “Historic American Songs” at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Presented by Ramblin’ Richard, the program will bring to light the unfamiliar stories about some of the country’s most beloved historic songs, such as “Yankee Doodle” and “Old Folks at Home (Swanee River),”

Ramblin’ Richard tells the stories and sings the songs while accompanying himself on guitar, a five-string banjo and baritone ukulele.

All are welcome to the free, hour-long program.
