
She was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Lewiston, a daughter of Henry and Amerilda (Marcott) Gagne. She came to Biddeford as a child, and was educated there.
Eleanor worked in local shoe shops for a few years, and for many years in the Webber Hospital food service, retiring in 1987.
With her husband Lorenzo “Larry” Huot, she enjoyed attending Eagles and Elks activities, bus trips, other travel, and wintering in Florida. She also liked to bake and work in her garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo, on June 8, 2015.
Eleanor is survived by: two sisters, Irene Lemelin of Saco and Laurette Howard of Rockland; one brother, Andrew Gagne of Old Orchard Beach; and several step-children, nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
