SACO — Barbara M. Deering (née McQuarrie), age 74, died peacefully on Dec. 29, 2016, after a brief hospitalization in Portland.
Barbara is survived by: her sister-in-law, Joy Tounge; her first cousins, Jane Mininni, Bettes Aldredge, Dick Hartjen, and Eric Van Ness; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by: her mother, Margaret; her father, Henry; her sister Alice Gray; and her brother, Bud Tounge.
Barbara was born in New York, but lived for most of her life at her beloved Biddeford Pool,. She cared deeply about her family, her friends, and her many well-loved cats and dogs.
A memorial service for Barbara will take place at Biddeford Pool in the summer of 2017.
Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
