Westbrook Police Sgt. Allen Tundel confers with firefighters Monday at the scene of a two-car collision in Westbrook that sent two people to Maine Medical Center in Portland. The accident happened about 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Church Street and William Clarke Drive. Police said air bags in both vehicles appeared to have inflated. The door on the driver’s side of one car was smashed and the windshield on the passenger side of the other car was shattered. According to police, David Sawyer of South Porland and Lynn Jakobski of Portland were hospitalized.
