The Bonny Eagle hockey team has improved to 5-0 and they’ve made a habit of scoring 10 goals in nearly every game they play. The Scots have scored 10 goals in their last three victories and that offensive firepower has made them a threat to win each time they take the ice.

The Scots downed Massabesic by a 10-2 score on Monday at the Biddeford Ice Arena. Travis Dunn led the way with four goals and Nate Jewell added a couple more. Single goals were scored by Joe Mendes, J.T. Norton, Adam Childs and Eric Levault.

On Saturday, the Scots again reached double figures in scoring as they claimed a 10-1 win over Sanford in a game played at the USM Ice Arena. The big news from Saturday’s contest is that Nate Jewell passed the century mark in career points scored.

The senior playmaker scored five goals and he added four assists to pace the Scots in their win. Dunn scored a pair of goals and Taylor Bishop, Norton, and Curtis Rowe found the back of the net as well.

Jewell’s career statistics (through the Sanford game) were submitted to us by the Bonny Eagle coaching staff.

His high school stats are as follows: Freshman season – 2 goals and 3 assists – 5 points; Sophomore season – 7 goals and 7 assists – 14 points; Junior season – 40 goals and 22 assists – 62 points; Senior season (after four games) – 13 goals and 9 assists – 22 points.
