Projected on the side of Westbrook’s Disability RMS building, an art project known as “Presumpscot: Restoring the ‘Rough Places’” is celebrating life on the Presumpscot River and recent advances to restore natural fish passage.
The shows will also run for the next two weekends at dusk on either Friday or Saturday, depending on the weather.
The project is a joint venture by the University of Southern Maine’s Environmental Science and Art departments, organized by USM research scientist Theo Willis. Willis said Tuesday that the first event last Friday was designed to “get people’s attention,” and this week’s show will be a video loop of fresh water fish in their natural habitat.
The shows will also run on a loop in the front window of the Saccarappa Art Collective on Main Street.
