Malcolm Lyons, born and raised in Lubec but a longtime resident of Windham Center Road, was guest of honor at his 90th birthday celebration on Nov. 25. Here he is greeted by longtime friend Mohammed Arafini, of Baltimore, Md. The party was hosted by Malcolm’s children and families: Patricia Lyons Buck, Malcolm Lyons, Robert Lyons, Guy Lyons and Michael Lyon. The party was held at his son and daughter-in-law’s home, Robert and Mary Lyons, on Sebago Lake. The home was formerly the “Lyons Den” family camp, which Malcolm built in 1946. “Mac,” as he is known, arrived at the party in a 1929 Model A Ford, driven by his son, Michael. Malcolm married Mary Lowell in 1938 and they have five children, three foster children, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. More than 70 family members and friends attended the gathering. Several of his children and friends related fond memories of times spent together with Mac. Courtesy photo
