The Damariscotta Historical Society will hold its annual silent auction event from Sept. 2-12 to raise funds to preserve ancient burial grounds in Damariscotta.
The silent auction will open at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Skidompha Library at 184 Main St. with more than 150 items, including an outdoor fire pit, tools from Calvin Dodge, a matted and framed Maurice Jake Day print, and dozens of gift cards from local businesses. The auction closes at 4 p.m. on Sept. 12.
Bids can be placed during regular library hours, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Auction items can be picked up and paid for from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13.
