Peter W. Fillion

FREEPORT – Peter W. Fillion passed away after a short illness, peacefully at his home on Aug. 17, 2025.

Peter was born in Berlin, N.H. on Jan. 2, 1959.

He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary Fillion of Scarborough, and Sarasota, Fla.

Peter attended Cape Elizabeth High School and furthered his education at the University of Maine at Orono. He went on to work as a draftsman at EC Jordan. Peter had a love for the outdoors, and nothing portrays the outdoors more than Freeport, Maine. Peter purchased his home in Freeport and went to work at L.L.Bean for many years where he made countless friends; using his unassuming quick whit, dry sense of humor, always ready with a helping hand, which forged meaningful bonds of friendship at L.L.Bean and within the local community.

Peter was passionate about music. A great day for Peter would be picking up one of his many guitars to play a tune, while exploring his list of music in his vast collection, while the wood stove was crackling with a few friends, over a PBR or a shot of Knob Creek. Peter enjoyed taking peaceful walks with friends on local trails, sitting by a pond, or kayaking around, enjoying the beautiful nature Freeport offered.
