Linda A. (Penniman) Hamilton

FREEPORT – Linda A. Hamilton, 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 24, 2025, at The Yarmouth Coastal Manor after a courageous fight with cancer and CHF.

She was born August 13, 1958, in Kennebunk, Maine, daughter of Gailen Hamilton and Elinor Bowdion. Linda was one of nine children.

She worked at Stinsons Cannery in Bath, at Eastland Shoe Factory in Freeport, Burgess Market in Bath, and later in life she became a homemaker where she spoiled her children whenever she could.

Linda loved life and never let anything stand in her way. She loved her children, family and friends, she adored her grandchildren immensely. She welcomed summers and she would plan trips to Funtown, camping and going out to eat every weekend.

She spent many summers camping in her big blue bus that she converted into a motor home, Duck Puddle Campground was her go to camping destination for so many summers. She enjoyed having her children and grandchildren visit, she enjoyed car rides and going out for breakfast at the Galley Restaurant. She loved soaking up the sun on her porch and listening to good tunes! She enjoyed doing her makeup and fixing her hair.

Linda was predeceased by both parents, her brother Scott Hamilton and sister Jennifer Barker.

She is survived be her children, Stephen Flewelling and his wife Amber of Richmond, Kristina Flewelling and her fiancé David Perry of North Conway, N.H. and Crystal Thibeault and her husband John Thibeault Jr of Woolwich; four brothers, Gailen, Kevin, Glenn and Mark Hamilton, two sisters, Bonnie Page and Cheryl Green; six grandchildren, John, Finnley, Skyy, Eli and Willow Thibeault, Riley Ann Perry; one great granddaughter, Delilah Thibeault; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday June 28, at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath off from Old Bath Road. A celebration of her life will be immediately following her service at Duck Puddle Campground.
