Brady Batson pitched a perfect game, striking out 10 of the 21 batters he faced, to lead Massabesic to a 2-0 win over Deering in a Class A South baseball game Thursday at Hadlock Field.

Batson also singled home a run in the first inning, and Emmett Carroll doubled home Parker Soule-Parent in the third.

Batson struck out the side in the sixth inning, with each batter working the count to 3-2. He completed the perfect game in the seventh by fanning opposing pitcher Miles Lawrence.

Massabesic (6-7) did make an error, but it was on a dropped foul popup.

Lawrence struck out six and gave up five hits before reaching his pitch limit in the sixth inning.

FALMOUTH 7, BONNY EAGLE 0: Jacoby Porter pitched a no-hitter and Tyler Simmons drove in three runs as the Navigators (9-4) blanked the Scots (6-8) in Standish.

Porter struck out three, walked two and hit a batter.

The Navigators broke open a close game with a six-run fourth inning that included a two-run single by Thomas Healey. Simmons and Nick Wyse each finished with two hits.

THORNTON ACADEMY 11, WINDHAM 1: Jacob Fish had three hits and three RBI, Ben Indorf pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts, and the Trojans (11-3) handled the Eagles (1-14) in Saco.

Brennan Tabor and Yamato Goto each added two hits and two RBI for Thornton, which went ahead 7-1 with a six-run second inning.

SOUTH PORTLAND 8, WESTBROOK 0: Parker Reny drove in four runs and pitched two strong innings of relief as the Red Riots (9-4) defeated the Blue Blazes (1-12) in Westbrook.

Reny hit a two-run single during a four-run first inning and a two-run double in the fourth.

Starting pitcher Brady Main allowed three hits and a walk while striking out four in five innings. Reny gave up one hit and struck out three over the final two innings.

Mitchel Violette had two hits for Westbrook.

WELLS 4, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3: The Warriors (7-7) rallied for three runs in the seventh inning to overtake the Raiders (6-7) in Fryeburg.

After a passed ball and a wild pitch allowed the tying and go-ahead runs to score, Gage Sargent made it 4-2 with an RBI single.

Fryeburg had taken the lead with two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Alex Allain scored on Jagger Helwig’s squeeze bunt, and the go-ahead run scored on a botched double-play attempt.

Caleb Moody hit a single and a double for Wells and got the win in relief of Sargent.

Connor Keaten got two of Fryeburg’s five hits.

SCARBOROUGH 10, NOBLE 0: Ryan Shugars drove in two runs and struck out eight through five innings, and the Red Storm (13-0) invoked the mercy rule with a run in the sixth inning against the Knights (6-8) at Scarborough.

Matthew Fallona and Kayson Cyr each had two hits for Scarborough.

Noble’s Aiden Roberts recorded a double and a single.

BIDDEFORD 10, PORTLAND 0: Kaden Langevin was 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBI, helping the Tigers (11-3) defeat the Bulldogs (1-13) in a six-inning game in Biddeford.

Landon Sirois, the winning pitcher, also produced two doubles and a single. Sirois and Travis Edgerton each drove in two runs. Gavin Haggett added a single, a double and three runs scored.

Brody Viola led Portland with two hits.

SOFTBALL

KENNEBUNK 11, SCARBOROUGH 0: Julia Pike was 2 for 2 with two RBI and three runs scored and pitched her second straight no-hitter as the Rams (12-3) beat the Red Storm (2-10) in a game shortened to five innings in Kennebunk.

Pike struck out 12 and didn’t walk a batter. Scarborough’s only base runner reached on an error.

Talia Kellum had two hits and scored twice, while Mia McCarthy was 3 for 4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored. Maggie Canniff added two RBI.

THORNTON ACADEMY 17, FALMOUTH 0: Miya McIntosh was 3 for 3 with two RBI and two runs, and everyone in Thornton’s starting lineup scored as the Golden Trojans (6-7) beat the Navigators (0-13) in three innings, at Saco.

Emma Barnes and Wako Matsuda each contributed two hits.

WINDHAM 17, WESTBROOK 2: Oakley McLeod had four hits and three RBI, Addie Caiazzo added three hits and two RBI, and the Eagles (13-1) routed the Blue Blazes (8-7) in Westbrook.

Chloe Edwards had two hits and three RBI for Windham, which scored eight runs in the sixth inning, with Caiazzo hitting a two-run triple and Kyle Harvie plating two more with a sacrifice fly.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 13, ST. DOMINIC 12: The Raiders (4-9) scored 10 runs in the bottom the sixth inning to stun the Saints (10-4) in Fryeburg.

Caelin McIver had two hits and three RBI during the big rally, and Carlin Galligan hit a two-run double.

Kaylan Forrest finished with three hits and three RBI for Fryeburg.

Emily Andrews had three hits, including two doubles, and four RBI for the Saints.

GORHAM 7, SOUTH PORTLAND 3: Winning pitcher Bella McBrady had two triples and four RBI to lift the Rams (13-2) past the Red Riots (6-8) in Gorham.

Sawyer VonderHaar and Adyson Hutchins both chipped in with a single and a double, and Terra Rioux added a triple.

Annie Soucy had two hits, including a triple, for South Portland. Sadie Soucy hit a double.

BIDDEFORD 8, BONNY EAGLE 4: Jaylah Trottier drove in three runs, including a two-run single during a four-run second inning that helped the Tigers (9-5) defeat Scots (6-8) in Biddeford.

Madi Roy added two hits and was the winning pitcher.

Reese Bryant had two hits, and Leah Storey and Nevaeh Hagerman each drove in two runs for Bonny Eagle.

GARDINER 13, LINCOLN ACADEMY 1: Molly Takatsu pitched a three-hitter and had two hits and two RBI as the Tigers (5-9) defeated the Eagles (5-9) in five innings in Newcastle.

Taryn Nichols also had two hits and two RBI, and Brynnlea Chaisson and Sophia Marrone each contributed two hits and one RBI for Gardiner, which scored five runs in the second

GIRLS LACROSSE

WELLS 11, BIDDEFORD 4: Caitlin Rooney scored four goals as the Warriors (11-2) beat the Tigers (4-8) in Wells.

Kendall Maxon added two goals, while Charlotte Piatek, Jacy Brown, Izzy Leslie, Eloise Ouellette and Payton Maxon each had one. Carys Ramsey dished out four assists.

Abby Bouffard had four goals for Biddeford.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 18, HAMPDEN/BREWER/GEORGE STEVENS/HERMON 5: Mariam DeLisle poured in 10 goals to lead the Eagles (9-4) past the Broncos (2-11) in Hampden.

Rowan Coffin added four goals and four assists, Yzze Bhe, Sammi Kopp and Scarlett O’Brien each had one goal and one assist, and Hanna Perce also scored. Zofie Day had two assists.

Olivia Veves led Hampden with four goals.

TRAIP ACADEMY 14, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 4: Sarah Carven scored four goals, Keira Alessi finished with three, and the Rangers (8-3) downed the Raiders (6-5) in Kittery.

Maddy Rohan and Jacey Johnson each added two goals, and Maddy Guay made nine saves for Traip.

MT. BLUE 12, MORSE 11: Lily Huntley netted five goals and Maya Kellett scored three as the Cougars (7-5) edged the Shipbuilders (8-5) in Farmington.

Grace Allen added two goals and Nina Bogar and Reese Nye scored one apiece for Mt. Blue, while Allie Casavant, Abbi Donald and Bree Griffin each assisted on two goals. Cougars goalie Madie Morton made 20 saves.

Morse was led by three goals apiece from Zoe Avery and Micah Wolf, and Zoe Nicholson and Libby Reblin each scored two.
